Information For Readers

We encourage readers to sign up for the publishing notification service for this journal. Use the Register link at the top of the home page for the journal. This registration will result in the reader receiving the Table of Contents by email for each new issue of the journal. This list also allows the journal to claim a certain level of support or readership. See the journal's Privacy Statement, which assures readers that their name and email address will not be used for other purposes.

International Journal of New Agricultural and Livestock (IJNAL) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal of the Faculty of Agriculture, Hormuud University. It publishes high-quality research across agricultural and livestock sciences, with particular emphasis on Somalia, the Horn of Africa, and comparable semi-arid, tropical, and developing-world contexts.

Open Access for Readers

IJNAL operates under a Diamond Open Access model. All published articles are freely available to readers immediately upon publication, and the journal does not charge authors, readers, or their institutions for submission, review, or publication.

Copyright and Reuse

Authors retain copyright of their published articles. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, permitting use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium provided the original work is properly cited.

Publication Schedule

IJNAL publishes two issues per year, in June and December. The journal uses continuous publication within each issue, allowing accepted articles to be published online as they complete production.

Journal Focus

Readers can expect research in crop science, soil and land management, livestock production and animal health, agricultural economics, food security, climate adaptation, agroforestry, biotechnology, veterinary science, pastoralism, rangeland ecology, water management, and related interdisciplinary areas.
