Information For Librarians

Libraries are encouraged to list IJICL among their electronic journal holdings. The journal is peer reviewed and fully open access, with no subscription charge, embargo, or paywall.

Open Access No Subscription Required

All published content is immediately available worldwide at no cost to readers or institutions. This supports equitable access to scholarship on Islamic civilization, leadership, governance, education, ethics, culture, peace, and social development, especially work relevant to Somalia, Africa, and other underrepresented settings.

Licensing

Articles are distributed under CC BY 4.0, allowing reading, downloading, copying, distribution, printing, linking, translation, adaptation, teaching use, and research reuse with appropriate attribution.

Editorial Quality and Publishing System

IJICL uses single-blind peer review, editorial text-similarity assessment, source-verification expectations, research-integrity safeguards, and COPE-informed correction and retraction procedures. The journal is published through Hormuud University's Open Journal Systems platform and managed in coordination with the University's research and ICT functions.

Preservation and Long Term Access

Published content is maintained on the Hormuud University journal platform with regular backups. The journal intends to participate in distributed preservation services available to Open Journal Systems journals and to support repository deposit. Persistent identifiers will be assigned when registration and publishing arrangements are complete.

Recommending IJICL to Your Institution

Librarians may add IJICL to electronic-journal lists, discovery systems, subject guides, and open-access directories and may inform researchers in Islamic studies, history, leadership, governance, management, education, economics, law, peace studies, heritage, and regional studies of its scope and free availability.
